The Ask Mini
Some answers can take the scenic route. Others need to arrive before the question gets cold. What you seek is also seeking you — your Ask Mini is waiting, and you finding it is not a coincidence.
- 1Sit with your question. Write it at the top of the label — a Sharpie works best — and put the date at the bottom. This jar keeps the day.
- 2Light it on a heat-safe surface, away from anything that can catch, out of reach of kids and pets. Never leave it burning unattended.
- 3As the wax melts down, the wrapped tin holding your message comes into view. Don't fish for it while it's burning. Let the candle do its work.
- 4The flame goes out on its own when the wick reaches its base, just above the tin. Let everything cool completely — the tin gets very hot. Then pull the tin straight up out of its wrapper, unscrew it, and read.
Care & safety: trim the wick to ¼" before each burn · no more than 4 hours at a time · never touch the tin until it has cooled · don't use water to put it out · keep the jar — wash it with warm soapy water once it's empty, and it's yours to keep.
